Did you know you can use vodka on your fabrics? Well, now you know. Mix one cup vodka, one cup water, and 10 drops of essential oil, and you have a great spray for your clothes. You see, the vodka kills odor-causing bacteria while the essential oils make everything smell nice.
All-Purpose Cleaner
Vinegar is an amazing ingredient when it comes to cleaning. To create this all-purpose cleaner, mix white vinegar with water and lemon peels in a spray bottle. The vinegar will dissolve the dirt, and the lemon will kill bacteria and make everything smell nice. Don’t use this cleaner on natural stone, though, it’ll ruin it.
Glass Cleaner
The magic vinegar strikes again. This glass cleaner is made from one cup water, one cup vinegar, one tablespoon cornstarch, and one cup rubbing alcohol. Simply put it into a bottle and spray on your mirrors and windows. The vinegar removes streaks, the alcohol speeds up drying, and the cornstarch prevents smearing.
Carpet Deodorizer
Instead of spending money on chemicals that make your carpet smell nice, why not try this instead? Combine one cup baking soda with ten drops of essential oil, sprinkle it over carpet, let it sit for fifteen minutes, and vacuum. The baking soda removes old smells while the essential oils adds new ones.
Toilet Bowl Cleaner
Do you have a messy toilet bowl? Then all you need are some ingredients that you probably already have in the house. Pour half a cup of baking soda into the toilet bowl, followed by half a cup of vinegar. Let it sit for around 15 minutes and then scrub.
Oven Cleaner
Ovens are difficult to clean because so many things basically get burnt onto it. Luckily, there’s a solution. Make a paste with baking soda and water, apply inside the oven, and let it sit overnight. Then in the morning spray it with vinegar and wipe clean.

Microwave Cleaner
Microwaves are one of the most annoying things in the kitchen to clean… or they were, until someone came up with this solution. All you have to do is microwave a bowl with equal parts vinegar and water and a lemon slice for 5 minutes. The steam loosens all that nasty food splatter.
Stainless Steel Cleaner
Here’s another area where you want to reach for the vinegar. It’s a non-abrasive cleaner that works great on stainless steel. All you have to do is spray the stuff on your stainless steel, wipe clean, and then polish with a small amount of olive oil.
Mold and Mildew Spray
You don’t need to call a specialist to get rid of mold, you can do it yourself. Mix one cup of hydrogen peroxide with ten drops of tea tree oil in a spray bottle, and spray! The hydrogen peroxide will kill mold spores.
Floor Cleaner
This works well on tile, linoleum, and vinyl floors, but avoid it with hardwood floors because it’ll damage the finish. All you need to do is combine half a cup of vinegar, a few drops of dish soap, and one gallon warm water. All things you probably have in your house anyway!
Scrubbing Paste
Sometimes, when the stains just won’t go away, you need a scrubbing paste. Luckily, you can make one at home very easily. Mix equal parts baking soda and liquid Castile soap into a paste, and this should help you clean your surfaces without any scratching.
